Thank you for this informative guide! My husband and I are planning where to climb our next hike, and we’re planning to go to Indiana Dunes Trail 9. Good thing that you mentioned that the Indiana Dunes Trail 9 is a good trail for dogs because we plan to tag along our german shepherd dog Max to celebrate there his first birthday. Do you have any precautions or things we must be aware of before going on the said hike?

Great read! I’m actually into camping these days, and these hiking spots will definitely be written on my bucket list. In case of rain, is the Little Calumet River still safe to stay in or not? I think it’s best to stay camping at the riverside, but it must be checked beforehand if it’s safe during heavy rain.
